…another reason to leave the Chromebook 15 home
A Chromebook from Acer which was released in 2015. It’s cheap, but big and heavy too. It is equipped with an intel dual-core processor, 4GB RAM and 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution. Good all that, but let’s see what included it in our list.
1. A bit bigger than other chromebooks
Acer Chromebook 15 is 15.6 inches, that means is like a normal laptop. I think this release from Acer loses its concept. That’s maybe a bad move from the brand because it’s not only bigger, it’s heavier than other chromebooks too. It weights 4.4 pounds and that destroys completely chromebook’s concept (small, light, easy to move it with you anywhere you want).
2. Not so attractive appearance(controversial)
Yes, this might be my personal opinion, I agree, but so many users mentioned the bad appearance of Chromebook 15 in their reviews or comments. I couldn’t avoid it, it could be more attractive.
3. Overestimated battery life
I don’t say that its battery is not powerful enough but Acer claim that the Chromebook 15 battery life lasts for 11.5 hours of use. When I heard it I said, okay, it’s a big and heavy laptop so Acer can handle this (the powerful battery life). However, users claims that it lasts “only” about 8 hours.
4. Material feels “cheap”
Acer Chromebook 15 is made of glossy plastic. Users are afraid of it because you can figure it out easily that is not the best quality. That gives them another reason to leave the Chromebook 15 home and don’t move it with them. Also, the white color of the case gets dirty easily.
5. Two USB ports maybe are not enough?
The big Chromebook 15 comes with only two USB ports. One 2.0 and one 3.0. The normal is at least three ports. I think what I am saying is overmuch, when you realize that “usual” people need one port for mouse and others for mobile cable, external disc, flash etc.
