HP has released another convertible laptop: the HP Envy x360 15t. It’s a touchscreen laptop that flips 360 degrees and can be transformed into a tablet. Many users are impressed with that stuff. Alright, let’s start judging.
1. Short battery life
One of the most important issues of HP Envy x360 15t is its short battery life. After some tests, the battery duration of Envy x360 was below the mainstream average, even below some competitors’ devices with similar specs, like Lenovo Flex 2 15 and Toshiba Satellite Radius P55W. HP should take that into account, because we are not talking only about a notebook, but for a tablet as well. It’s a double portable device and its battery life should be at least between the mainstream average. And what will the user do for that dear HP??? He/she will always have the charger wire plugged in and destroy the already poor battery that you have provided to him/her. Thank you.
2. Cheap material
Envy’s consists entirely of plastic except from a thin 0.5 mm aluminum veneer that forms the keyboard top plate. Apart from that, turning around the screen to convert it into tablet is cumbersome because of its weight and large size. Envy x360 is not only made of cheap material. Its design is not practical for tablet use. Useless stuff, just to impress… pathetic.
3. Moderate performance
Envy’s x360 performance scores were AGAIN below its competitors’ devices and the mainstream average. Envy x360 comes with a 1.7-GHz Intel Core-i5 4210U CPU; 8GB of RAM; and a 500 GB hard drive. Dear HP, that’s disappointing.
4. Overpriced
You have released a cheap plastic device with poor battery and below the average performance for (about)750 euros ? Really? You could at least release it at a lower cost. With 750 euros, the customer can buy amazing laptops with great performance and very good material quality.
5. Not the best graphics
Well, here we have lower scores than the competitors’ devices again. You can enjoy gaming on Envy x360, but with lower fps(frames per second) than the average. It could be much better for that cost(750 euros). HP equipped it with an Intel HD Graphics 4400. Good, but not the best.
