Bigger and worst
When iPhone 5 was announced, Apple said that is the biggest thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone. Just not. This smartphone has many hardware complaints from people who bought it, according to a long research we’ve made! We figured out the top 5 for you.
1. Weak Wi-Fi
Lots of iPhone 5 owners have Wi-Fi issues. Some of them had weak signal even when they were 4-5 meters close to their router. But when they were out from that range, iPhone 5’s signal got lost and couldn’t show any Wi-Fi networks. Others, when they were connected to a network suddenly the connection drops down or they couldn’t connect to a network at all.
2. Scratchible Backside
The backside was made by an anodized aluminum in order to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the back surface. Although, there is a number of owners that scratched their backside easily by accident. So need to buy a case for that.. lol!
3. Purple glare on photos
Took a picture with a purple glare on it? No it’s not your fault. Apple’s new camera design brought to iPhone 5 that problem. When this problem revealed in public, Apple suggested that “Moving the camera slightly to change the position at which the bright light is entering the lens, or shielding the lens with your hand, should minimize or eliminate the effect.” Blowmind?!
4. Battery Problem
The company once again justified by saying that a very small percentage of units may suddenly experience shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently. On 22th August 2014, Apple oppened a replacement program that was available at Apple Retail Stores, Authorized Apple Service Providers, and via AppleCare. Note that iPhone 5 was originally launched in September 2012. Yeah, Apple got late.
5. Overheating
iPhone 5 seems to be getting hot even with basic usage. This may be caused by hardware issues or the aluminum added to the backside. Some people report that iOS is the actual cause of the problem, but it does not confirmed yet.
