Trying to beat the big competitors
Amazon is trying hard to make a really good tablet from an idea that was previously started as an e-book reader or something like that. Nowadays, there are so many competitors that makes Amazon’s life pretty difficult to get it through that field. It’s good to mention that there are many versions of Kindle Fire like the Fire HD 10 (2015), Fire HD 8 (2015), Fire (2015), Fire HDX 8.9 (2014) and Fire HD 6 (2014). The number that follows always describes the inch of the screen of the current version. In here, we will talk about the top 5 negative things recovered from owners, for Fire HD 10 (2015) and Fire HD 8 (2015) versions. The only difference between the two is the screen size. Let’s see..
1. PC Connection Issues
It seems that PCs recognize the 1st generation Kindle. When Kindle is connected through a usb cable shows that it’s charging, but PC doesn’t actually even see a device connected and no error appears. This is consistent on multiple PC’s. Another connectivity issue with the PC is that when you trying to move files, over a message like this will appear: “The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.” After that you can’t see the device under the Computer.
2. Poor Battery Life
Battery seems to be running down quicker than it should be. There are a few reports that describe the battery life as poor or terrible. “When you’re not using the wireless network turn it off it will save more battery or you can Google how to make my kindle battery last longer.” Meh..
3. Overheating
There are some reports about overheating issues. It can be clearly spotted while you are playing games, watching movies, or surfing the web. In extreme cases overheating causes the tablet to shut down. Usually, the hot spot is somewhere in the left bottom corner. Some other kindle fire get hot where the on/off button is, and even hotter when connected to Wi-Fi.
4. Device Won’t Charge
This is a battery-related issue. Owners of Kindle Fire HD complain about a range of issues from a complete refusal to charge, to a partial or a very slow charge. In normal cases, charging your device with Amazon’s official cable and the optional charger might take four hours.
5. Keyboard Typing Erratically
The touchscreen seems wild, just typing in all by itself many letters instead of the one you pressed, deciding on its own to go to a different app, etc. Even a reboot cannot help. In general, Kindle Fire HD may produce a random collection of characters rather than what the user is typing.
