LG Watch Urbane

LG Watch Urbane is one of the best Android Wear out there

LG Watch Urbane is one of the best Android Wear out there. LG’s new smartwatch is the first smartwatch to take advantage of the Wi-Fi feature of the latest version of Android Wear. It appears to be elegant and smooth at the first sight, but is it really?

1. Not Impressive Design

At first sight the LG Watch Urbane seems classy but when you wear it you immediately notice that it is a bit bulky for a smartwatch. It feels clumsy and big and it won’t appeal to many wrists. It is obvious that this smartwatch isn’t for everyone. If you have moderate to big wrists you probably won’t have any problems with the Urbane’s bulkiness. Another design issue is considered by many to be the fact that it collects finger prints quite easily, since it is made of stainless steel. This issue of course can easily be resolved since cleaning your smartwatch shouldn’t require any real effort at all.

2. No Ambient Light Sensor

This problem is self-explanatory. The LG Watch Urbane lacks an ambient light sensor and as a result of that auto adjusting brightness is impossible. This is a deal breaker for many users since you wouldn’t want to pay much attention to your smartwatches brightness. It is a smartwatch after all not a smartphone. You need to be as free of your smartwatch as possible. With the lack of this feature you now have to adjust manually your watches’ brightness when you enter a theatre or when you go outside.

3. Expensive

LG Watch Urbane is the most expensive Android Wear out there, but is it really worth it? According to many users, it does not. It doesn’t really offer much more than the other Android smartwatches available, so we don’t really see a reason to be that expensive. It reaches almost the price of an Apple Watch but it doesn’t come near its functionality. In conclusion the price of the LG Watch Urbane is completely unjustified.

4. Band Feels Cheap

The band that the LG Watch Urbane comes with is leather and has a classy look. But when experiencing the watch many users complained that the band feels really stiff and cheap. Although this is a big problem there is a solution. You can simply buy another wrist band since LGs band is the standard band design.

5. Android Wear

We know that this isn’t really an issue of LGs smartwatch but it is a huge complaint of many users. The Android Wear is not really as could as you would want it to be. It feels awkward and the UI isn’t that appealing either. It doesn’t feel good and smooth to use but we believe that this is an issue that will be resolved in the future. All we can do for now is wait. .
