Cooler and quieter than the PS3 slim
Sony achieved to create one of the biggest gaming consoles’ series in the whole history. PlayStation has a big crowd behind. This was started in 1994 when the first PlayStation One console released. Evolving through time, PlayStation 4 was developed with even more amazing graphics that comes with a greater advanced software. This console always blows our minds, it’s a fact. But, what’s the catch? Is there any serious or less serious problems that we have to know? Well, after many requests we tried to figure out what’s most important.
1. Heating Problem
Sony said that PS4 was designed to run cooler and quieter than the PS3 slim. Many PS4 owners belie this statement. Those people experienced the heating problem in a hard way. Some of them when playing a very intensive game, multitasking through system or even watching Netflix for about 20 minutes! Others report that there is also an issue with the cooling fan: when the console is standing up gets quite warm and the fan is so loud. But, when it’s laying down horizontally, within 5 seconds, can go back to silence.
2. Power Issues
Those issues are really strange and obviously not desired for any gaming console out there. There are two kinds of those problems. The PS4 turns off unexpectedly in normal operations or even when a game is being played. Nevertheless, in some cases, it does not turn on at all.
3. No Audio or Video
The PS4 connects with an HDMI cable that is responsible on transferring high quality audio and video. It has also an optical cable that carries audio only. To be honest, there is a number of users, not many, that complain about having problems like: there is no audio or/and video. This may be caused by compatibility issues with their TV, but in some cases seems to be an update to the firmware that causes the problem. It’s not a usual issue, but in some cases exists.
4. Freezing
Few users report that the PS4 freezes while playing a game or when they are upgrading their console via PlayStation Network. It’s not clear what’s happening here. It may be caused by an update that is skipped somehow from the user. If it’s not, you may send it back for an exchange with a new one or just call the support to guide you further.
5. Disc Drive Issue
This issue is clearly “the cherry on top”. As reports describe, the disc ejects in the middle of game play and it continues ejecting for hours continuously or the system beeping repeatedly even when no disc is present. So we saw a solution telling that “removing the eject button physically from PS4 solves that. It’s quite easy to remove it and that solves the problem permanently..”. Sony? Hear this? They..fixed it!
