Another Samsung device that comes in multiple editions: in that case, Tab Active and Tab Active LTE. Today, we will see Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, whose only difference with Tab Active LTE is the cellular connectivity; because of that, Tab Active LTE is more expensive. I think that move from Samsung is useless.
1. No cellular connectivity
Many people plan on using their tablet anywhere out of their home, and sometimes somewhere where WIFI connectivity does not exist. So, Samsung deprives that plan from their users; is it because they want to provide a cheaper version of that device? Maybe..I don’t know.
2. Bad performance
The device’s performance does not make users satisfied enough. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active comes with 1GB RAM and a Cortex A7 Quad-Core 1.2 GHZ; they both lack in performance compared to the current standards. Those specifications are lacking even for the basic operations like browsing, gaming etc.
3. Poor audio quality
Tab Active has a single speaker which is located at the back side of the device. Some people may say “Come on man, it’s a tablet, high quality audio is useless”, and I will answer “Not everyone thinks so, man”. There are users who want to enjoy their favorite music from their tablet; why force them to use their headphones? I pay for the 100% of the product, I want the 100% of the product.
4. Very poor camera
Samsung Galaxy Tab active takes lousy pictures. We are talking about a device that was released in 2015 and its primary camera is 3.15 megapixels!!! The secondary one is 1.2 megapixels; I didn’t expect more from it when the rear camera is such a disappointment. That’s another feature from Tab active that is lacking compared to the current standards. Come on Samsung, for that money you could provide at least 5 megapixels. AT LEAST!
5. HD video absence
Well, it is commonly accepted today that everybody needs perfect quality of video and gaming, although Tab Active does not support videos in 1080p. Now, you will say “Why do you need HD video when your camera is 3.15 megapixels?” Well, that’s right.. what can you say.. That’s a point that may affect Samsung’s sales. We will see over the next few months.
