Even a 20.7MP camera could not be perfect…
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. A smartphone from Sony that was released in September of 2014. Z3 Compact is a smaller edition of Z3 with a less powerful battery and 2GB RAM instead of 3GB as Z3 is. Let’s start with:
1.Non removable battery
That’s a point that we have already discussed in other posts. Maybe a removable battery on a smartphone is required, it’s controversial. There is no doubt that a user replaceable battery is a strong advantage: when the battery is destroyed, you can easily replace it on your own or change it whenever you want to if you need a more powerful battery, or just remove the battery when your phone is stuck and needs to be restarted.
2.Some preinstalled apps might be useless
Some Sony apps like Walkman and Playstation Video may be useless for some users. In my opinion, it depends how much Sony fan you are if you use those apps. For example, if you already use Spotify and Netflix, that means that Walkman and Playstation Video are completely useless. Also, those apps can cover a serious amount of storage that users might use in a different more useful way.
3.Poor glass quality
Too many users assert that Z3’s Compact front and rear glass gets destroyed very easily, even in your pocket without any serious hit. That’s something that Sony should notice and be very careful in the future because it may move many users away from Sony’s products. That could be catastrophic.
4.Overestimated camera
Even a 20.7MP camera could not be perfect. Actually, users notice that when the camera is set on auto, is horrible. Detail in photos is not perfect, as it was expected from a camera like that. In addition, sometimes photos can be slightly blur. Also, if you worry about a photo’s capacity from a high resolution camera like this, no need to worry because microSD port exists. If it wasn’t, be sure that BadFive would include it.
5.Why so different from Xperia Z3???(controversial)
We have seen many times different editions of smartphones like LG G3 with 16GB storage and 2GB RAM or 32GB/3GB RAM, or some smartphones of which the one edition is without dual SIM and the other with dual SIM. These were the differences. However, Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact havea very noticeable difference, the dimensions. Z3 is 5.2 inches and Z3 Compact 4.6 inches. Also Z3 comes with 3GB RAM and a better battery but that’s not the point. The point is that you release the same device with some hardware or software differences in order to cover all your users’ needs. So what will you say to the users that like Z3 dimensions but want Z3’s specifications?
