…you definitely get more than you pay for
LG has made a comeback to the windows operating system with a new budget smartphone, LG Lancet. It is a decent budget smartphone. You must not really expect much since it is a budget smartphone but it is worth noting that you definitely get more than you pay for. Which is always a good thing.
1. Bad Design
The design of the phone is plain and basic. It is uninspiring and cheap. It is not a surprise really since almost every windows phone feels uninspiring. LG Lancet is not an exception. It might be a budget phone but it shouldn’t be that obvious that they didn’t really care for its design.
2. Awful Display
Being used to the amazing displays offered by the “front-liner” smartphones you would say that users are unfair for judging this budget phone harshly. Well, not so much. Of course we don’t expect that much from a budget smartphone, but the LG Lancet’s display, with a screen resolution of just 854×480 pixels, is simply awful.
3. Inexistent Storage Capacity
Again it is reasonable for a budget smartphone to offer only a limited amount of storage. But this is plain ridiculous. The LG Lancet comes with 8 GB of storage but right from the beginning users noticed that an astonishing 3.4 GB was used by the system , leaving users only 4.6 GB of storage to use. Nowadays 4.6 GB is not enough to do anything at all. The only solution is to expand using a microSD card.
4. Micro instead of Nano Sim
We will repeat what we’ve just said. Micro instead of Nano Sim!!! Come on LG!!! This is 2015!!! I mean, is it really that hard to use a Nano Sim feature? No smartphone, not even a budget phone, should have Micro Sim in the year 2015.
5. Disappointing Camera
Nobody for any reason should expect from a budget smartphone to have a good quality camera. But the camera of the LG Lancet is so bad that the perfect word for users to describe this camera was “disappointing”.
