After conducting a week-long survey with multiple questions regarding Pokémon Go we were able to come out with concrete conclusions about the world’s first impressions of Pokémon Go.
We analyzed the data collected from the survey and we will be publishing the results this week, answering one question a day.
Our Pokémon GO week schedule will be answering the following questions:
- How do people view Pokemon Go? – 20/7
- How much Time/Money are people willing to spend on Pokemon Go? – 21/7
- Is Pokemon Go Dangerous? – 22/7
- What does Pokemon Go Need to Change? – 23/7
- Which Pokemon Go Team is the most popular? – 24/7
What does Pokemon Go Need to Change?
We asked people to tell us their thoughts about changes that they want to see in the game. I think that Pokémon Go went so viral that Nintendo and Niantic have to listen every thought produced by the fans in order to stay at the top.
“Nothing. Its awesome! Peace.”
The majority of people just left that field blank or responded with something as “nothing is perfect” or just “nothing”. This means that Pokémon Go still holds a big customer satisfaction since the day it was released.
“Fix the FUCKING SERVERS, GPS and BUGS”
Also, there is a number of people that is really mad about the problems with bugs during the game or server side issues. “Fix the bugs at first”, “better servers” or “GPS Signal not found is annoying” were three of the most common answers in our survey.
“PvP Battles, Pokémon Trading System, Battle other wild Pokémon”
Battles and Trading system seems to be a must for many. In my opinion, this is actually the reason that 90s’ kids loved so much the world of Pokémon. I think that a league system will make us even more competitive. A worldwide solo-league system only for trainers to show their skills to the rest of the world and acquiring big in-game rewards with their wins. They should enchant the app with all these, to make it even more functional.
“More Pokémon, Pokéstops and Gyms”
A new generation of Pokémon would be a good addition to the game for the moment, as well as more Pokéstops and Gyms to areas that they are not “well known”. Lots of people that live in an isolated area or an island, have a problem with this. They can’t play properly their favorite game as others who live in a “big and fancy city”. That must be fixed immediately.
“..have some offline activities”
Data consumption bowed everyone’s bill since the release of that obsessive game. Offline maps, offline Pokémon hunting etc., should be good additions.
“Put other ways to earn coins other than spending real money to purchase them”
This is a thing. In order to have the full experience of the game you need to have a 3G/4G/LTE plan with your ISP, but what happens when you want to buy, for example, some more Pokeballs because you’re out. In-game purchases makes Pokémon GO an even more expensive game.
“..make it possible to interact with other players and add them as friends”
Interactions with other players that you’ve met in the journey or friends that you already know will bring Ash’s journeys to life.
“I would like to throw Pokeballs using my own hand in front of camera. “
This guy went far, but he is right! They are already trying to bring Pokémon Go to Microsoft HoloLens. Being able to catch Pokémon and interact with them with a more traditional way as TV series does.
“No Pokémon on the road, thank you.”
The world got really crazy with that game. Accidents from obsessed people are a fact. Car crashes, drownings etc. are growing day by day. This could prevent a lot of these accidents without a doubt.
To sum up Some of them, described above, there are rumors that will be added in the next update already. Trading system, more Pokéstops and Gyms are on the way to please their hungry crowd right on the upcoming update.
