It is an amazing phone witch comes at a great price
This weak we take a journey to the other end of the world where civilization flourished in the ancient times, and where technology seems to be evolving rapidly in the recent years. We are referring of course to China. Xiaomi released their latest smartphone, the Xiaomi MI Note Pro which appears to be their best smartphone yet. It is an amazing phone witch comes at a great price but with some unfortunate drawbacks.
1. Only Available In China
We start with this unfortunate fact. It is a shame really. Xiaomi MI Note Pro is a great smartphone and could easily compete against the giants of the west. It is currently on sale only for China. You can of course still buy this phone from third-party resellers but we advise against it since it might not work properly in your country. If you choose to buy this phone you must be prepared to face some difficulties like faster battery drain. Because it’s a phone made only for China, it does not include pre-installed Google services, so you’ll have to do some work if you want apps like Gmail and google drive on your phone. Finally, although the price for Xiaomi MI Note Pro is around $450 you must expect to pay more to import the phone.
2. Both Cameras have poor performance
Starting with the main camera users have complained that in low light conditions the camera doesn’t deliver as much as you would want it to. It produces dark images and it underperforms in comparison to the iPhones and Galaxy S6 low-light capability. For the “selfie” camera now, there is an obvious problem which you notice immediately after taking your first selfie. The front camera seems to be prioritizing foreground shots, leaving the background behind you with a blurry effect. This is a huge problem if you are trying to take a picture of yourself with a specific background which you want to be present in the picture.
3. Gets Warm
The smartphone appears to be getting warm when on heavy use. It doesn’t overheat to the point where it is no longer usable by the user but it is still noticeable. This was to be expected since the Xiaomi MI Note Pro uses a Snapdragon Processor which has been accused for the overheating of other smartphones as well.
4. Below Average Battery
Although the Xiaomi MI Note Pro comes with a battery of 3000 mAh it doesn’t perform as it should. The Xiaomi MI Note Pro is the pro version of the Xiaomi MI Note but it still has the same battery (???). Well of course you can expect that greater specs would drain the phone much more rapidly. The right term to use for this smartphone’s battery is…unsatisfying.
5. No Expandable Storage
Last but not least comes this fact to amaze us. Xiaomi only offers a 64 GB version of the Xiaomi MI Note Pro and the reason is the lack of a microSD port. Taking from the users the ability to expand their storage seems to be trending up, but we can’t really understand why.
